The Tokyo Auto Salon is often home to cars that look like science projects gone wrong, but these four concept cars caught our attention in a good way and really have us dreaming they were real.
Here are four cars we saw at Japan’s version of SEMA that we wish were put into production.
Subaru BRZ STi

For people who thought the regular BRZ was too slow and its design was too subdued, may we introduce you to the Subaru BRZ STi. Too bad it’s just a concept, because this is the car of Subaru fan’s dreams. The special BRZ with a full body kit and performance enhancements would have a turbocharger that would boost power to 350 hp.

Toyota S-FR

The Toyota S-FR is both cute and angry and we love it. Look at its little face! Sure, it doesn’t look that intimidating, but designed as a concept for a possible competitor to the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the S-FR should be a lightweight and engaging car to whip around a twisty road.

Toyota FT-1

We saw this beauty next to the cute S-FR above and lost our minds. This could be the most epic and sexy thing Toyota has ever built, and it needs to be real because we all miss the Supra and know that Toyota is capable of giving us sporty, fun cars and not just Corollas and Priuses.

Mazda RX-Vision

A sports car concept that previews what a rotary revival could look like, the Mazda RX-Vision is a dream car for us and has Mazda fanboys all over the world crossing their fingers for a new RX model. Besides having a beautiful design, a new RX model promises to be amazing fun to drive. We hope this concept isn’t just a tease.
